Feeling Fishy

An Original Card Game

This it is almost exactly the game of fish except instead of asking for a numbered card you ask how the people are feeling… Based on 13 emotions instead of numbers. You are still trying to make books of four and whoever ends up with the most books wins… But it is much more fun to ask somebody if their “loved”, than if they have a 3. Or to ask them if they’re hungry, or happy, or cold, or cool, or mad, or scared, or sick, or sleepy, or smart, or creative, or thirsty, or just plain weird.

This can be played with someone that does not even read, speak, or hear. Just mimick the emotion to ask for the cards. For more fun try to play this silently! The game won’t be silent for long since laughter will soon follow.

Since these aren’t real emotions at the time, but part of the game, you can ask freely. So not only is it more fun to ask feelings than numbers, it also turns out to be an exercise in communication. This can help to break down the natural barriers and intimidation’s of asking people how they feel.
